Today I sat contemplating this is of the term ‘eco fashion’. I thought to myself, “If anyone should really understand the meaning of the above it should be myself, as I have dedicated want to know the best part of 3 years toward the creation of an eco fashion brand. ” The problem is there is not any point in me understanding the interpretation if others can’t conceptualise the term, and how it may match their lifestyle. ‘Eco fashion’ could quite literally be seen as two totally different entities. Some might question why I am writing this as I am one of the small makers of ‘eco fashion’ that are affected as a result. Very well that is where you are wrong, yes we would no longer be niche, but it refuses to be absolutely free themes who need us directly will probably be the mainstream department stores, clothing stores and such like that will lend from our experience and competence.
The proponents of ‘eco fashion’ have prepared for this period of change but it will surely be us at the forefront of the ecosystem evolution. I for one will still champion the cause of mainstream ‘eco fashion’ because it can only benefit our people and the earth and unless I am wrong the point of ‘eco fashion’ is to advantage both the customer and our planet, not to stay niche. I just have been dismayed when reading and listening to socalled eco-gurus, eco-reporters, eco-commentators and eco-critics use the term “eco has gone too mainstream”, precisely what is that all about? Doing work together should only be seen as positive. I actually don’t care if it is a multi million dollar corporation that chooses to have eco guidelines or the small launch, every little count. My spouse and i sympathise with those who say “how can an oil company be earth-friendly? ” The point is not their core business, but the reality they acknowledge their responsibility and decide to take positive action. No one can expect companies to stop operating because their industry is seen as environmentally damaging, that is complete nonsense.
